Diagnostic Testing

Diagnostic Testing

Dyslexia Research Institute provides testing through Hardman & Associates. This battery of 21 tests has been designed to identify the learning, language, perceptual, and intellectual strengths and weaknesses of both children and adults. It provides a differential diagnosis.A comprehensive report provides a specific, detailed plan for assisting the individual to develop to his/her full potential.

For children, the report describes the learning strengths and weaknesses of the child. These are related to the child’s educational, social and home behavior. Specific suggestions concerning academic, behavioral, and biochemical interventions are discussed with the parents.

For adults, the report not only describes the adult’s learning strengths and weaknesses and addresses these issues with specific recommendations, but the report relates the individual’s learning patterns and deficits to how he/she functions on the job. Specific accommodations for employment are made. The report has also been used to assist clients as they move into post-secondary education.
